Everything Leads Somewhere

I remember having this conversation with a friend over half a year ago…

We got to a point where he was telling me that he felt like he had wasted a lot of time through watching shows.

I don’t really feel comfortable sharing information that isn’t about me without the person’s consent, so I won’t give any more information about him.

But I ended up telling him things that I myself would have wanted to hear. So I think it’d be a good thing to share it with you.

Your life belongs to you, and you get to enjoy it in your own way.

If you regret consuming a lot of content, whether it be videos, films, shows, video games, whatever it may be, then just relax.

It wasn’t a complete waste of time. Through reading, watching or playing, you’ve probably built up a library of ideas. And if you ever choose to create anything, you’ll have memories to look back on, to search for said ideas.

You’ve probably learned things about yourself and about the world through the content.

Possibly discovered new interests.

You’re human, just like the rest of us.

What matters is that you’re alive, you’re here, and you’re, hopefully, enjoying life.

I do feel sort of unsure on whether or not I should have shared this.

I didn’t share everything I told my friend, but still, I feel like that makes our conversation a bit less special. At least for my friend.

Hopefully he’ll understand if he ever finds out… that there are other people in similar situations who might need to hear this…

I don’t think I need to ask for permission to share what I myself have said, but I wouldn’t have said what I did if he hadn’t opened up to me.

So… thank you, friend, for having that amazing conversation with me.

And thank you so much for reading this.

I hope this post helps you if you currently find yourself in a similar situation, or if you ever find yourself in one in the future.

Have a lovely day.
